AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e, revealed in press briefing that the Air Defense Forces have carried out more than 721 operations since the beginning of the Saudi-led aggression against Yemen, ranging from shooting down aircrafts, confronting and forcing them to leave.
Saree listed 53 warplanes and Apache helicopters, and 318 reconnaissance and spy drones. Air Defense operations which forced the aggression's warplanes and drones to leave amounted to about 350 operations.
The spokesman noted that this year the Air Defense Forces have achieved several successes, most notably the downing of a Tornado warplane, as well as a number of countering operations.
He pointed out that new Air Defense systems have entered the battle line, and other systems are being developed to become more effective on the battlefield. Last few months, Air Defenses carried out 64 operations, including the operation of the downing of the Tornado plane and the operations of the intercepting and forcing planes to leave.
